Way back to Malaysia
I wrote this in the plane way back to Malaysia, from Korea. I felt so tired and I do not have enough rest at all. I slept at 0200am this morning, mainly because I need to packed everything before I went to sleep. I need to go around the Songtan Area (No all area, but the area nearby my hotel. Imagine I walk in the shopping street called SHIN JANG Shopping Mall.
I went to this street on 11/Jun night around 10~11pm and there were full of people. Tell you something which you might be shock when you first know it. There are a lots American at here, especially American Army. There is a Amry Base nearby the SHIN JANG Shopping Mall. Most of the shop speak English, unless you goto their wet market, they don’t speak english, but you still can buy thing from wet market, they will show you the price in the calculator.
Everything is so cheap at Korea, even my colleague said that they are expensive, but for me it is very cheap compare to Japan. For example:~
For a cup of Starbucks coffee which we can get from any convinience shop (Such like am/pm, Family mart, 7-11, etc) is cost around 250~300yen (RM9~10)
, but the same thing sell in Korea is about 1200won (RM3~4). It is so much different.
One of my HQ Team Leader (Chief Engineer) asked me this question~
>> How do you feel about Korea? (I just do not how to answer him on that time, I just said “feel good” and he laugh~)
Later I review this question again when I’m alone in the room last night~ What is my impression on Korea in this short business trip? Emm… Is very hard to say cause I do not see Korea from all the aspect yet, but I do have some thought about Korea.
1. Korean are looks like Chinese, they looks more alike chinese compare to Japanese.
2. I haven’t met any cute Korean ladies, kinda sad (Just not as my expectation)
3. Korean love their own country brands very much, You very hard to see Korean drove continental cars, or Japan’s brand of cars.
4. Most of the Korean speak Japanese, and some of them speak mandrin (my Korean Colleagues mostly can speak little bit of mandrin, maybe due to they always have business discussion at China)
Behold, no. 5 is the best discovery in Korea.
5. Korean drive car like nobody business, they just based on feeling and that’s all. The 1st day I been picked up by the Hotel driver, and he make me can’t sleep in the car, he just do not bother about the road condition and traffic condition, he drove based on which kind of standard, I really do not know. Maybe you should try to take their Taxi when you’re in Korea (Samething happens)…
2 more hours, I will be at KLIA.
write at 12/jun 14:45pm.
