Langkawi Island Trip (Part 3)
Emm… What to share in Part 3?? The 1st day activities ended at Kuah Town Shopping. In that night, 2 colleagues and I drink the “cheap” beer (Asahi beer) in the room (Coz we can’t find any good place to drink and all the beer were so cheap, without duty).
Snorkerling at Langkawi for 5 hours cost around RM130~230 (Depends on which travel agent you register to), please do survey before sign up for any package. We decided to take the package with need 4hours of our time in the morning (0900~1300) for Eagle feeding, Bat Cave, Crocodile Cave and Floating Fish Farm, it costs around RM35 per person.
About 09:30am we reached Tangjung Rhu Jetty.

It beside a very beautiful resort, Tangjung Rhu Resort.
We met up with our Boatman/tourist guide, Mr. Wan (we called him Number one). So we start our journey to the mangrove jungle.
The 1st stop was the Eagle Feeding. when we reached there, there wasn’t much Eagle flying around, kinda disappointed, but right after Mr. Wan used the engine sound to draw their attention. There were more eagle appeared. Mr. Wan throw some fresh chicken’s organs on the surface of the sea (or river), then we can see how eagle catch/get their foods…
Can you see the eagles? I wonder if they fly over to our boat, what should we do? Haha…
We moved to Crocodile Cave, I took some of the photos but not nice to see. I refuse to put them at here. Basically we don’t see any crocodile inside the cave, wonder why we go there also…
Then we proceed to the 3rd destination, Floating Fish Farm.

Taken From Google Earth (Someone took it)
This is a kind of fish which have a soft shell and it looks like crap.
Is it looks like craps. It’s shell is very soft.
This thing is very sticky… Don’t know how it taste? Wanna eat it raw? Haha…
Next stop would be the Bat Cave… Really can say nothing to see, all you can get is the great smell of the bat’s shit…
RM1 per person to enter the Bat Cave, it is not include in the package.
Group photo in front of the Bat Cave, why my pose looks weird?
On our way back to Tanjung Rhu Jetty. My face feel kinda dry after so much of sea wind…
Mr. Wan, Tan and I (Start from left), I think I really need to control my body size… I looks too _____ compare to Mr. Wan and Tan.
Right before we reached to Tangjung Rhu Jetty, Mr. Wan asked us to looks at a mountain. He asked “It looks like…??” Emm… I answered “like a Gorilla/King Kong sitting at there!!” I got it right… It really looks like a Huge Gorilla sitting at there, guarding the Kilim Geopark…
To be Continue….

Hey, a few things to mention ya?
1) It’s Tanjung Rhu Resort and not TANGJUNG.. I workED for Tanjung Rhu Resort so I should know. And yes, ULTIMATELY BEAUTIFUL RESORT TO STAY but only for the RICH~~ :p
2)And like Jane mentioned, it’s called a belangkas.. did u put it on ur head… suppose to massage it.. did u try? :p For a bit more info.. this belangkas is suppose to be from the Dinosaur age.. go figure… TRR’s nature guy told us…
3) Just another FYI, chicken organs poisons the eagle… and it’s best not to feed them. Disrupts nature. When I was there, there was a LOT of eagles… I guess u were UNLUCKY.. :p
4)The cave… had an interesting story. Possibly you din reach the Ex-Swallow Cave. There was an area in the cave, whereby used to be home for swallows. And here, many BIRD’s NEST could be collected and it’s the EXPENSIVE type… the RED ones… the bloody one la… So once the bird’s migrate, the locals would take the nest for sale… BUT coz of men’s greed, the locals killed the birds so they can take the nest for sale earlier than the migration time… and now that cave… no longer have any swallows. AND there are still marks of the bird’s blood on the cave walls.
5)Group photo in front of the cave. Did u notice a Frog and a Crocodile nearby? Oh yea.. at night… there are BIG snakes lurking around…
Wow… So many story I don’t know, next time need to bring you along, then you can be the best tourist guide lo…

Just sharing my 2 cents only nia… but seriously… I LOVE LANGKAWI!! So… please DO bring me along… coz I’m sure the tour guide din mention anything bout the mangrove swamp, rite?
As well as seeing snakes? Really rare sight. But, for a person with ULTRA SNAKE PHOBIA, saw it… DAMN, I’m sooooo LUCKY~~ =.= all disturbed me by moving close to the snakey… I still have the pics… EVIL ppl~~
Did you manage to see swimming monkeys and seal (i think seal, ULTRA RARE sighting also)?
Still whole lots of stories but uh~~ I think best I intro to you the nature guy~~ he’s the one who enlightened us…
Nicole:
We don’t have tour guide, we go every place alone… You means the boat man, he is very nice, we dig lots of info from him, he do bring us to a location where the sand/rock is always balck color, even if we remove all the surface layer, it become white then the next day will return into black color again~
So amazing experience in Langkawi~

yLing:
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Maomi: No no~~ the snakes are a RARE sight… I was DAMN “LUCKY”. With the eagles flying around, do you think the snakes will just slither out and sun themselves?
Unless you’re going nature walking.. then the possibility of snakes goes slightly higher… Once my nature guy told me.. he saw a cobra.. the deadliest kind… he ask the rest to keep quiet but they all… where where? you sure it’s a cobra? suddenly the snake raised it head, THEN everybody kept quiet. then slowly the snake feel there’s no threat and slithered away. SCARY~~!!!

Thank for the sharing… good experience indeed…
