Team Hoyt
[Chinese Version - Click Here]
Today I just come across this Team which named Team Hoyt. I think you maybe knew about them longtime, but I you’re not, you better watch the video below… And you might find “Life is wonderful”~
One day, a son asks his dad “Daddy, would you like to run a marathon with me?”. The father says “yes”.And they run their first marathon together.Another time, the son asks his dad again “Daddy, would you like to run a marathon with me?”. The father says “yes son”. One day, the son asks his father ” Daddy, would you run the Ironman with me?”
The Ironman is the most difficult triathlon ever (4 kms swimming, 180 kms bikin, 42 km running?) And the dad says “yes”.The story looks simple until you watch the following clip. Just amazing, how much can love be…. ?
By watching this youtube video about Team Hoyt, and by reading their story at Racing Towards Inclusion. We just can say, as a father, Dick is a very good father, as a son, Rick do not disappoint his father for continue living and learning as normal person.
I would not touch much about their story as you can read it at the link above mentioned. I just wish to share my thought after go through their story~
I started to think as a normal human without any handicap, shall we stop complaining about our life. We can talk, walk, think, complete anything without any problem, yet we are work hard for it, we do thing in carelessly, and we used to complaint about everything which you feel dislike. Is that correct? Please think about it.
Most of us do not appreciate what we have, we wish to have more, at the same time we only wish to work a little to get there… How can this be possible?
I think as Rick can go through all these due to the support by their parent and God.
As mentioned in Bible Phl 4:13 – I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
