Sigma 10-20mm ultra wide angle

UWA (Ultra Wide Angle) lenses always my target for Landscape photo-shoot. Recently I had tried a Sigma UWA 10-20mm f3.5 for 2 times, here to write some of my comments about it.

Photo taken from HERE

Before I write the comment, let’s see below 2 picture which taken by this lenses with my little Nikon D90.
Landscape shoot with it,

10mm 1/1250 f8 -2EV

And

Portrait shoot with it,

10mm 1/200 f4 +3EV

The owner said that Sigma UWA compare to Tokina UWA 11-16mm, Tokina UWA win. I don’t know about Tokina because I never tried it by my Nikon Camera. As for Sigma UWA, I think it is good for Landscape and Portrait. If you do portrait, just prevent to put the model/subject at the edge, because even thought it had been improved for distortion, but as for UWA lenses, distortion does happens. It can make model looks fatter… I’m still waiting my chance to try on Tokina UWA before I actual purchase one of them.

Any other comment on Sigma UWA 10-20mm? Please voice out and shared…

Did you say the lens was a 3.5? It looks like it’s a 4-5.6 in the product image.

I’d love to play with one of these. I’m a Canon shooter, but I’m sure they make one with Canon mount too.
