Is comfort zone create narrow minded
Comfort Zone really will destroy a hardworking person? No sure for this, but it sure created problem.
For so past 7 years working experience, I been trained to take up ownership on any self/department related issues. I need to react fast on any issue arise, and try to solve it as soon as possible. Sometime, almost less than 24hrs to solve the issue, because production running in very high volume, not afford to have any line-down.
For past 9 months live/working in new environment, people don’t pick up the ownership until being forced, or even being forced, still refuse to take it up. Everyone just act blur on what they had saw, what they knew.
How to work with a branch of people who do not wish to move a step forward?
Refuse to work, refuse to understand, refuse to share information was the invisible protocol beneath in everyone mind. So, will keep on hearing all bullshit below,
“Not my call….”
Yeah, everything also not your call, you also no need to come to work, cause that also not your call too…
“Please directly discuss with my supplier what you want them to do?”
You’re buyer, procurement, supplier control, but you do not wish to be middle as you should to be. Why I need you there somemore…
“Why I need to answer for other issue which not related to me?”
Oh Oh Oh, then no need promote you as Management level, it was because you don’t wish to answer for other people, how I expect you will answer on behalf of your sub-ordinate…
I think the longer to work (Without any thinking of self advancement) you’re easiest to trap into comfort zone. And please do not envy those who join in late but work in aggressive ways and got promoted faster or before you. It was Because you choose to stop and slow down your step for moving forward…
