Nikkor 55mm f/1.2, Classic Lens with Metal body, it works superb in f/2. Unfortunately, I tested it all in f/1.2, my bad. Yesterday is my first day get hold of it. The metal body with engrave wording, just make you feel so good. It kinda heavy compare to new 50mm f1.4 lens. I started being poison since the first second touch it.
One of my Photog friend owned few manual classic lens, he loves to use Classic lens. He and I appreciate the art/design of classic lens. I’d tested this lens during lunch break after a morning photo shoot session. The result which really amaze me the most… Before Lunch, I managed to took few photos too…

First shot with 55mm f/1.2, slight OOF, but the bokeh really great, where my 50mm f/1.8 can’t do it.

Another shot after some trial and error, manage to get nice sharp image… The soft background really flawlessly best…
Tried some food photography with f/1.2, and it result as below shown…

All I can say, this lens provide different feeling onto the photo taken. I can’t describe it with my own words, but from the photos, I think you might can sense the feeling which hits me yesterday.

Summary:
The 55mm f/1.2 is flawlessly great. It gives very sharp images if in correct focus. The only thing is need user to get use with it manual focus function. On 55mm f/1.2 got a big focusing adjustment ring, very easy for user. Metal body for it which make it feel more solid. This is a must buy lens if you appreciate the design of classical lens.
