If you’re in high school in 90s, you should know Iijima Ai very well. She was on of the famous AV actress at that time.
Based on Wikipedia information -
Ai Iijima (real name – Oukubo Matsue) (October 31, 1972 – c. December 24, 2008) was a Japanese media personality. She belonged to the entertainment agency Watanabe Entertainment until her retirement. She started her career in AV industry but she successfully transforms into Mainstream Actress later.
Sad to know that Iijima was found dead in her 21st floor Tokyo apartment not far from Shibuya Crossing at about 3:30 p.m. on December 24, 2008. Police suspected she might be committed suicide, but the actual cause only will release after the postmortem. I just hope she was not ended her own life by herself just because she was suffering sickness lately.
Hopefully she can rest in peace after her busy life in entertainment industry. Finally hope everyone of us not to forget once we have Iijima Ai in our life.
Let’s recall about Iijima Ai by this Youtube.

Do you submitted your appraisal form for your subordinate? Have your superior interview with you before he submit the appraisal forms?
In US culture company, Superior or manager will interview with the staff (Jr. Executive and above) become they finalized the appraisal. They will let you know your points for the past one year. You got your chance to argue for the points if you think you deserve better points. At least you know how people feel/rate your works. It is so transparent, everything just well understood by everyone.
In Japan culture, everything is confidential, you know nothing about your own appraisal until you got your bonus/salary increment. You got no right to argue, you don’t know your own rating, how you gonna argue with management?
How about your condition? You know your own rating system? Please share your experience.
