We would like to invite you to the Exclusive Media Preview and Press Conference of ‘THE WORLD OF TIM BURTON’ – a renowned world-class pop-up museum and exhibition that will be landing in Pavilion, Bukit Jalil this March 2023 to July 2023 to display the most outstanding works of the acclaimed animator and filmmaker – Tim Burton.

Brought to you by Toybox Projects. Sdn. Bhd – a multi-entertainment and cross-media multinational company, the event acts as their initiative to bring greater awareness to the Malaysian tourism sector through entertainment and draw in more and more local and international visitors in 2023.

Additionally, because of the country’s creative capacity, Malaysia is the only Southeast Asian country chosen to host the final Asian leg of the pop-up museum and exhibition tour. ToyBox Projects are ecstatic to give a sneak peek at what is to come at the press conference on The World of Tim Burton that will provide visitors from all walks of life, with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience one of cinema’s most imaginative filmmaker’s artworks, including life-size sculptures, paintings, puppets and many more.


What is the World of Tim Burton?

Tim Burton is an American filmmaker and artist. His gothic fantasy quirky style is so identical and unique that he has fans all over the world, and his films have become one of the most iconic movies of all time including Beetlejuice (1988), Batman (1989), Edward Scissorhands (1990), Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Ed Wood (1994), Big Fish (2003), Corpse Bride (2005), and Sweeney Todd (2007), the international exhibition of Burton’s art displays the full range of his creative production, revealing a versatile artist whose unique vision transcends mediums and formats.

Drawn from Tim Burton’s personal archive and representing the artist’s creative output from childhood to the present day, this exhibition of over 500 drawings, paintings, photographs, sketchbooks, moving-image works, and sculptural installations focuses on the recurrent visual themes and motifs that resonate in the distinctive characters and worlds found in Burton’s art and films.
