“OPPA” is a film adaptation of a true story that tells how a romantic and touching love story turns into an unexpected online love scam! The main target of the 90-minute feature film is Malaysian cinema. Filming will officially begin in the Klang Valley area in April 2023. The production is expected to be completed in June and arranged to participate in domestic and foreign feature film creation competitions and major film festivals. As online fraud is getting more serious, Dream Film Sdn Bhd, since June 2022, has conceptualized creating an awareness film. Many career women, especially teachers, single mothers, divorced women, and even married women, are all “trapped” in the tricks of online love scammers, resulting in a lot of debt, bankruptcy, and even unable to withstand the emotional stress of being cheated, and many choose to commit suicide. Besides, men are also targeted by online fraud syndicates, taking pictures and videos of nude chats that have become tools for extortion.

After several in-depth discussion meetings between Dream Film Sdn Bhd and the Royal Malaysian Police, they finally agreed to contribute their best efforts to the anti-fraud operation. Although it is impossible to eliminate fraud cases, cooperation between the police and the people will surely increase the wisdom of the people and protect their money and lives!
